Description

Type JA vibration isolators consist of individual, large diameter, laterally stable steel springs assembled into welded steel housing assemblies to limit vertical movement of isolated equipment when equipment loads are reduced or when equipment is subjected to large vertical external forces. The housing also provides a constant free and operating height to facilitate installation. The spring element is equipped with an internal acoustical pad and has an adjusting and leveling screw lock as part of the top load plate assembly. The springs are polyester powder coated and have a 1000 hour salt spray rating per ASTMB-117. All isolators are provided with holes for bolting to the structure and support equipment. Isolators can also be welded to the structure. For stability, the springs have a transverse spring stiffness greater than 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness and are designed to provide at least 50% overload capacity. FLS springs have a deflection of 2 inches (51 mm) and a load capacity of 18,000 lbs.
